Each year in May the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) celebrates National Senior Move Managers Week. For over ten years, Sort It Out Boston has been proud to be a member of this internationally-recognized organization. This year, the celebration week extends from May 12 to May 18, and the theme is Service With Purpose. Never has there been a truer statement.
Senior Move Managers across the country who are affiliated with NASMM are among the most caring, compassionate and dedicated people you will know. Many have had the personal experience of guiding parents, friends and loved ones through one of life greatest transitions. That is, moving to a smaller residence, a senior living community, or assisting with aging in place. The first-hand, up close and personal experience very often has been life changing; so much so that businesses have been born to help other adults and their families in similar circumstances.
Senior Move Managers not only do the physical work of assisting with decluttering, downsizing, packing and unpacking. There’s so much more. This special group of people has the expertise to assist with the emotional aspects of sorting through a lifetime of memories, as well as the resources to ensure the organization and management of the physical move is conducted with minimal stress.
It has been our great honor and privilege to work with older adults and their families for over 18 years. We are grateful to each and every one for allowing us into your homes. We salute all our NASMM colleagues as we celebrate National Senior Move Managers Week.
If you or a loved one are ready to downsize or prepare to age in place, Sort It Out Boston is here for you. Call us today and find out how we can help.
