As a professional organizer and move manager who takes great pride in her work, I feel it’s important to continually improve my skills and become knowledgeable about new solutions available to my clients. With that in mind, I recently attended the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) Annual Conference where I tested for and received the NASMM@HOME Specialist designation.
With so much of our work centering around aging individuals and their families, understanding all of the options available and being able to implement them with skill, compassion and respect is a priority to me and the NASMM@HOME Specialist designation was something I felt would demonstrate our expertise in this area. I received this designation by demonstrating my understanding of the physical and emotional stresses associated with later lifestyle changes as well as the ethical, safety, legal and communication issues that accompany working with older adults. Additionally, I proved my capabilities in providing guidance, encouragement, and hands-on help to seniors and their families while assisting them with the numerous downsizing, safety, and organizational tasks associated with making a home suitable for senior adults.
Do you have questions about downsizing or assisting a loved one with making their home a safer, more organized space? Contact us to learn how the NASMM@HOME designation makes us highly qualified to assist you in these very important transitions. Call (617) 332-7500 or email me: email@example.com.
